We are looking for a reliable and well‑organised Trainee Storeman / Yardman to join our team at our Holbeck Depot in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to build a long‑term career in logistics, stock control, and operational support within a growing national business. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting yard operations and maintaining accurate stock control.
Responsibilities will include handling goods, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are prepared and ready for deployment. You will also help maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment.
- Inventory management, including receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods and materials
- Performing regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Coordinating yard operations and ensuring a clean, safe working environment
- Cleaning vehicles and off‑hiring equipment as required
- Liaising with Operations Managers to support day‑to‑day tasks
- Carrying out basic administrative duties and updating computer records
- Full UK driving licence
- Competence with computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous relevant work experience (3 years preferred, but trainees with the right attitude will be considered)
