Maintenance Supervisor

About The Role

What will you be doing? This role involves assisting the Maintenance Manager to organise and manage the site maintenance functions, to ensure high plant availability and performance within approved budgets, liaising within internal operations & maintenance staff and external support staff where appropriate. The jobholder will be expected to work normal days; however additional hours may be a requirement of the role in order to meet operational demands.

• Supervise a team of highly skilled technicians to carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Utilise the site CMMS system to prioritise workflow dependant on safety, environmental, and plant reliability impacts.
• Deliver and maintain high standards relating to health and safety performance, culture, environmental compliance, and site housekeeping.
• Comply with and actively participate in Company rules, procedures, initiatives, particularly those relating to Health, Safety, environmental management, quality systems and continuous improvement.
• Fully comply with corporate safety rules, site safety rules and associated safe systems of work, PTW, LOTO, RAMS & authorization procedures to ensure that the plant is always maintained within prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental constraints and guidelines.
• Ensure conformance to relevant statutory requirements and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation's policies and applicable laws.
• Ensure that the facility and all personnel always operate safely and promote an environment where safety is a priority.
• Investigate any accidents or near misses promptly in conjunction with management to ensure unsafe practices or conditions are addressed and eliminated immediately.

• HNC/HND level or above in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation or other disciplines related to power generation would be advantageous.
• Energy from Waste experience will be an advantage.
• Ideally, a background combining a hands‑on approach with strong analytical ability in a heavy industrial sector.
• Health and Safety qualification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH would be advantageous.
