Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm On-Call: 1 in 8 phone call rota We're recruiting for an experienced Building Services Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider based in Leeds . This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer who has experience leading small teams and is looking to take the next step in their career. You'll play a key role in maintaining a busy commercial site, supporting engineers, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
The Role Working as part of the site maintenance team, you'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of building services while providing day-to-day support and guidance to a small team of engineers. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Supporting and coordinating a small team of engineers Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults Maintaining HVAC, plant, lighting, pumps, motors, and general building services Ensuring compliance with health and safety and statutory regulations Liaising with the client to ensure service levels are maintained Updating maintenance records using a CAFM system About You Electrical or Mechanical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) Previous experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management Experience managing or supervising small engineering teams Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good communication and organisational skills Full UK driving licence (preferred) If you're an experienced Building Services Engineer looking for a varied Monday to Friday role with leadership responsibilities and excellent career prospects, we'd love to hear from you.
