Claims Team Manager (18 Month FTC) –

Location:

Leeds (Hybrid – 4 days office / 1 day home). Great salary + end of contract bonus + exceptional benefits.

As a Claims Team Manager, you will:

Lead & Inspire

• Support the Head of Insurance Claims in running and overseeing the UK Claims Team
• Take the lead on managing the Prompt Resolution Team (PRT), including coaching, 1-to-1s and developing a high-performance culture
• Act as a trusted deputy for the Head of Insurance Claims when required

Drive Performance

• Ensure all PRT claims are handled proactively, accurately, and in line with our Claims Philosophy
• Produce monthly performance reports and quarterly updates for senior leadership
• Monitor team objectives, support development and maintain high service standards

Deliver Excellent Claims Handling

• Manage your own varied caseload across multiple classes of business
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and drive claims to effective settlement
• Analyse trends, act on feedback, and champion continuous improvement

Build Strong Relationships

• Maintain excellent communication with key brokers and partners
• Support oversight of external service providers and TPAs to ensure high-quality performance
• Contribute to wider team projects and help shape the future of the claims function

What We’re Looking For

• Previous claims experience in Property or EL/PL
• Proven leadership skills — or a clear ability and desire to step into leadership
• Legal qualifications or strong claims expertise with a commitment to studying towards CII
• Good Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn in-house systems quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
