Team Leader; Watches

About the team: At Vintage Cash Cow, our Watches Team plays a vital role in both the buying and selling services we provide. Supporting the Appraisals team to identify unusual and high value pieces, providing accurate valuations to offer our customers. Later in our process the Watch team will create auction, eBay and trade listings, using their knowledge to bring the products alive, helping to sell our stock to worldwide buyers.

About The Role: As the Watches Team Leader, you’ll ensure the smooth running, performance, and development of your team. You’ll take responsibility for quality checks, training, performance management, and people development, while also supporting continuous improvement across the department. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a high-performance culture, ensuring department quality, accuracy, and productivity. This role requires a strong communicator and organiser, someone resilient and passionate about developing people while balancing day‑to‑day operational demands.

Location: Overland Park, Leeds

• Learn and embed VCC management processes.
• Align practices with other Team Leaders, Trainers, and Management.
• Conduct regular 1:1s with your team and provide hands‑on training for junior members.
• Identify and streamline opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Build strong working relationships with fellow leaders and stakeholders.
• Instill a high-performance culture within your team.
• Make data‑based decisions to improve processes.
• Conduct performance reviews and track progress for all team members.
• Identify and close knowledge gaps, supporting continuous learning.
• Ensure your team consistently achieves departmental KPIs and accuracy standards.
• Drive improvements in productivity, quality, and workflow management.
• Support Watch team assessors at all levels in their career progression.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to resolve queries and refine processes.
• Champion continuous improvement and propose process enhancements.
• Manage workflow queues, holidays, and sickness absences effectively.
• Check and sign off gold and high‑value items to maintain quality standards.
• Audit listings and pricing, providing feedback to improve accuracy.
• Replenish stock and manage equipment/supplies as required.
• Foster a safe, tidy, and inclusive working environment.

• Develop your team both personally and professionally.
• Increase quality and accuracy of pricing and listings.
• Improve overall team productivity.
• Train and support assessors across different experience levels.
• Manage workflow queues, holidays, and sickness absences effectively.

• Previous management experience, internal or external.

• Detailed knowledge of marketplace and VCC processes from listings to returns.
• Experience mentoring or training others.
