Warehouse Shift Manager – Days

Salary: £34k pa

Shifts:

Days, 12 hr, 4 days per week over a 7‑day cycle (6:00–18:00, alternating weeks).
Position:
Permanent

Assisting the Warehouse Manager in running day‑shift warehouse functions, ensuring work is completed on time and to high standards.

• Training Team Leaders to ensure high standards throughout.
• Conducting staff appraisals and disciplinaries.
• Preparing staff briefs and debriefs.
• Managing site security and paperwork for deliveries, especially on weekends.
• Managing equipment issues.
• Ensuring warehouse PPE stocks are ordered.
• Ensuring picking and all other paperwork for deliveries is completed.
• Conducting quality checks of stock and raising any issues.
• Performing racking checks.
• Issuing picks and related work.
• Inducting new staff.
• Booking containers online.
• Staff management, ensuring sufficient numbers to meet daily and weekly targets.

• Previous shift management or supervisory experience is essential.
• Hands‑on and willing to assist around the warehouse where needed.
• Strong man‑management skills.
• Ability to implement changes and improvements.
• C/B and/or Flexi FLT licences would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate staff.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Health and safety awareness.
