AboutThe Role
This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role at a defining moment for a large and evolving care service.
At Care Dorset, our vision is “a world where people can thrive” and as Home Manager at Streets Meadow, you will play a central role in bringing that vision to life.
Leading a 60-bed care home supporting people with complex needs, you will take ownership of an ambitious transformation shaping the transition to a nursing-led model and driving the development of the service into a true Centre of Excellence.
This is a role for a visible, values-led leader who can build high-performing teams, set clear expectations, and create a culture of accountability, pride, and continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in strengthening engagement, building trust, and embedding a positive culture as the service evolves.
With real autonomy, strong organisational backing, and the opportunity to influence both service development and wider organisational thinking, this is a chance to make a lasting impact for the people we support, your team, and your own leadership journey.
It is also a significant opportunity to lead a complex service transformation and further develop your leadership capability within a forward thinking and supportive organisation.

Care Dorset’s vision is “A world where people can thrive”. This vision conveys our ambition to have a society in which individuals have the conditions, opportunities, and support to lead fulfilling, successful and meaningful lives. We have an ambitious five‑year strategy focused on working towards achieving this vision.
Care Dorset launched in October 2022 as a new provider supporting adults across a range of support models and in different settings including reablement, day opportunities, supported living, extra care as well as residential care. We are a local authority trading company, wholly owned by Dorset Council, with strong ambitions to innovate and transform our existing services to deliver better outcomes for people as well as growing commercially.
We are passionate about not only providing the highest quality of support, but in also providing rewarding and meaningful career opportunities to our colleagues.
‘Residential homes’ are precisely that: they provide a permanent home for every individual who lives there. That includes mealtimes, a bed, and bathing.
