Senior Delivery Manager

• Line-manage and develop a group of engineers through regular one-to-ones, feedback and career conversations
• Own the growth, wellbeing and performance of direct reports
• Build trust and psychological safety within the team
• Lead hiring, onboarding and retention for managed employees
• Own capacity and resource allocation for one or more delivery pods
• Identify and elevate capacity, skills, dependency and resourcing risks
• Support engineers in pods regardless of reporting line and provide feedback to their managers
• Partner with Product Managers on pod scope and sequencing while owning capacity and skills fit
• Support agile ways of working alongside Agile practitioners
• Partner with Tech Leads, Product Managers and fellow managers
• Help pods adopt AI-native delivery and maintain quality review of AI-assisted work
• Help integrate three former teams into one engineering function

• Proven experience line-managing and developing engineers
• Experience managing capacity and resource allocation in agile teams
• People-first leadership, including coaching, honest feedback, wellbeing and inclusive team-building
• Comfort working in a matrix environment
• Track record of capacity planning, resource allocation, skills mapping, flow and unblocking in a sustainable delivery environment
• Confidence leading in a fast-moving, AI-native environment
• Strong partnership skills with Tech Leads and Product Managers
• Background in software engineering
• Experience in a regulated or professional-services environment
• Familiarity with modern Dev Ops and agentic development, such as Azure Dev Ops and Claude Code

Demonstrates expertise in line-managing and developing engineering teams, with a strong focus on capacity planning, resource allocation, and fostering a people-first leadership culture. Proficient in supporting agile methodologies and integrating teams in a fast-paced, AI-native environment.
