Director of Operations

Job summary

There are five Director of Operations posts within Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT). The post holders will play a key role in the delivery of high quality clinical services and will support a number of Clinical Service Units (CSUs) in the delivery of the Trust objectives, with a particular focus on achievement against the agreed CSU Delivery Contracts. This role requires individuals who are driven, ambitious and passionate about patient care, and who have a desire to influence at the highest levels working in close partnership with senior clinical and managerial staff.

To succeed in this role, candidates need to be able to build confidence across the organisation and CSUs as well as with external partners.

Main duties of the job First degree or equivalent NHS management experience and evidence of practical application of expertise at this level.

Experience of working at senior management level in large complex environment. Highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams and have them understand the Trust's and your performance expectations. Ability to lead the redesign of services to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard and are cost effective. Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure whilst supporting and getting the most out of staff.

Able to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences using a range of different approaches
