We are looking for a Senior Social Value Manager to lead social value across our growing Yorkshire business, supporting projects throughout West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and the wider region.

You will work closely with our customers to understand their priorities and turn them into meaningful social value plans, focusing our efforts where we can make the biggest difference to local communities.

This is a leadership role where you'll take responsibility for managing and developing our Yorkshire Social Value team, building strong customer relationships and driving delivery. You'll oversee social value across a variety of construction projects, working closely with our customers, project teams, supply chain partners and local stakeholders to ensure our commitments translate into meaningful outcomes.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about social value, highly customer-focused and enjoys working in a busy environment. You'll need to be organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and confident influencing others to get things moving.

Most importantly, you'll recognise the part social value plays in our continued growth, helping strengthen customer relationships, maximise our impact across Yorkshire and make Willmott Dixon a business our customers want to work with again.

Responsibilities
  • Lead social value delivery across our Yorkshire business, including some of our largest and most strategically important projects.
  • Line manage, coach and develop our Yorkshire Social Value team, supporting their performance, development and progression.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their priorities, build lasting relationships and identify opportunities where we can add value.
  • Lead the development, implementation and quality assurance of customer-focused social value plans, translating local needs and customer priorities into meaningful, measurable commitments and outcomes.
  • Monitor performance against commitments, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting, challenging underperformance and producing high-quality customer-facing reports that demonstrate the impact we make.
  • Support major bids and pre-construction activities, helping develop compelling social value proposals.
  • Work closely with project teams, consultants and supply chain partners to embed social value commitments and drive delivery.
  • Develop opportunities for local employment, apprenticeships, T-Level placements and work experience, including supporting the recruitment of management trainees.
  • Work closely with our wider sustainability and social value teams to share best practice, improve standards and drive continuous improvement.

  • Experience developing and delivering customer-focused social value initiatives, with a track record of building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading, managing or developing others, with the ability to coach colleagues, improve performance and build team capability.
  • Experience developing social value plans and translating customer priorities into meaningful, measurable commitments.
  • Experience measuring, analysing and reporting social value outcomes across different reporting platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience producing high-quality customer-facing reports.

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working in construction or a related industry.
  • Social sustainability…
