CAD Designer - Joinery

Position: CAD Designer - Joinery (Permanent)
Headley have a new vacancy with a Leeds based company who are seeking a skilled designer to produce working drawings for their joinery workshop.

The company is long established and handles a good quality and variety of commercial projects and as business volumes increase, they require additional design support in the team.

The role offers opportunity for a skilled and experienced joinery designer to gain new and develop existing skills in a broad design role.

Key Duties to include:

* Production of technical manufacturing drawings using Solidworks software

* Working in conjunction with client teams to understand brief and offer design led solutions

* Dealing with 3rd parties, suppliers, subcontractors as required to deliver client requirements

* Working with manufacturing to ensure best processes and trouble shooting as required

* Occasional site visits

Required experience:

* Solidworks experience essential

* Experience of technical drawing for joinery production

* Understanding of joinery materials and manufacturing processes

* Confident in dealing with clients and suppliers

* Good attitude to work, reliable and keen to develop in the role
