MoveATech is recruiting a skilled CNC Machinist to join a specialist barrel manufacturing facility in Portsmouth. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist with a strong background in both CNC and manual lathe and milling operations, working in a precision engineering environment.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality precision barrels using a combination of CNC and manual machining methods. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong technical understanding, and the ability to work to tight tolerances while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Operate CNC and manual lathes to manufacture precision barrels
• Work within a machine shop environment in line with health and safety and quality requirements
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Use a range of precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Manage daily machining tasks to support efficient production workflows

• Proven experience in CNC and manual lathe machining
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment
• Experience with Fanuc CNC controls

• Experience with XYZ Prototrack controls
• Experience with Heidenhain controls
