Pipe welder (x3)

Specialist pipework and fabrications firm looking to increase head count due to expansion. A new site and workshop are coming to Morley soon. The role works Monday to Thursday only, offering a long weekend off, paid breaks, free parking and a permanent contract.

• Welder to X‑ray standard on both stainless and carbon steel (mild) materials.
• Read drawings and cut pipe spools independently.
• Majority of welding is TIG & MAG welding.
• Weld at position PA/PB.

• TIG stainless steel 54–89 mm diameter wall thickness 2–5.49 mm.
• MAG carbon steel 114 mm diameter wall thickness 4.54 mm.

May be required to work onsite on occasion; strong mechanical assembly & fitting skills are required.

Fabricate pipes, flanges, plant rooms, skids to a very high specification onto pipe spools. All other general fab shop duties are expected across the shift.

Adhere to strict Health and Safety standards set by the company.

• Skilled with proven 2+ years’ fabrication and pipe welding experience in stainless steel and mild steels.
• Required qualifications or time‑served experience in MIG/TIG welding within a similar engineering environment.
• Driving licence is essential due to the site location outside Leeds and potential wagon driving ad‑hoc on the job.

Basic salary: £46.2k (£21.15 ph PAYE for standard 42 hrs + 1.5× overtime Fridays, average 5 hrs). Total OTE: £54,440. Every weekend off!
