Performance-related bonus We are currently seeking a Time-Served Manual / Semi-CNC Turner to join our client's engineering team in Cwmbran. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, excellent benefits, and the chance to work within an ISO

The Role The successful candidate will be involved in machining one-offs to small batches of components weighing up to 3 tonnes .

Responsibilities include:

Operating manual lathes and semi-CNC lathes Using a manual centre lathe and tooling to machine components to drawing specifications Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards Complete tool setting, including understanding cutting speeds and feeds Using measurement and inspection equipment (verniers, micrometres, bore gauges, etc.) Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment in line with ISO
9001 standards Experience in milling or welding is highly desirable. About You We are looking for someone who:
Is time served with proven experience on manual and/or semi-CNC lathes Ideally has milling and/or welding experience Has strong attention to detail and can work to tight tolerances Is competent in tool setting, with knowledge of cutting speeds and feeds Can confidently use measurement and inspection tools Has around 3 years' engineering experience (preferred) Is highly motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team Benefits Permanent, full-time role Salary £26,000 - £28,000 DOE Performance-related bonus Company pension (after 3 months) 26 days annual leave  Bank Holidays Sick pay On-site parking Overtime available JDR Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
