Production Technician; Gantry Crane & Forklift

Tennial Personnel are actively seeking an experienced Production Technician with gantry crane and forklift experience to join a growing, family-run manufacturing business based in Risby, near Bury St Edmunds. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity following a successful 12-week probation period, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, offering an hourly rate of £13.00 £ 14.00 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate gantry cranes and forklifts to safely move materials and large assemblies Support mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations Ensure safe lifting, loading, and accurate positioning of components Work to production schedules, drawings, and assembly instructions Carry out visual inspections and assist with quality checks Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment Support all areas of production when required Report any safety, quality, or equipment issues promptly Skills Required Proven experience operating gantry cranes and forklifts in an industrial environment Strong understanding of safe lifting and material handling practices Ability to follow procedures and safety-critical processes Flexible, team-oriented approach to work High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Qualifications Required Gantry crane certification (preferred) Forklift licence (preferred)
