We are looking for a CNC Machinist (Toolroom) to join a modern, well‑invested toolroom in a business known for technical excellence, quality standards, and commitment to sustainability. The role will involve the manufacture, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tooling, providing key engineering support to production and ensuring equipment runs efficiently and reliably. We seek candidates with strong CNC milling and/or turning experience who can work accurately from engineering drawings and maintain tight tolerances.
Experience with Hurco milling machines (Solid Cam) and/or Hurco lathes using Hurco conversational programming would be a distinct advantage.
- Manufacture new tooling using modern CNC machines, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain, service, repair, and modify existing tooling to support production requirements.
- Carry out repairs, manufacture, and modification of associated equipment as required.
- Provide hands‑on engineering support to production departments.
- Complete accurate records detailing servicing, repair, and maintenance work.
- Work strictly in line with health & safety requirements and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the tooling function.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Toolmaker and/or CNC Machinist in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience using manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
- CAM programming experience desirable, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Detail‑oriented with pride in delivering consistently high‑quality work.
- Proactive and able to use initiative to solve problems.
- Safety‑conscious and willing to lead by example.
- Full right to work in the UK & full UK driving licence/own vehicle.
