Machine Operative - Joinery

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Machine Operative to join our growing manufacturing business in Leeds. The role involves operating a range of woodworking machinery, ensuring quality and safety, and supporting the production team.

• Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Work with saws, presses, belt sanders, and edgebanders.
• Check product quality and maintain high standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the wider production team as required.

• Previous machine operative experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Previous manufacturing or industrial machine operative experience is essential.
• Joinery or woodworking knowledge is advantageous.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Eagerness to learn new machinery and processes.

Monday to Thursday 8:00 am–4:30 pm;
Friday 8:00 am–3:30 pm. Joinery or woodworking experience is beneficial but not essential.
