This Leeds-based precision engineering business is looking for a CNC Miller Setter Operator with solid programming capability to join a close-knit machining team. The work is varied, the tolerances are tight, and the expectation is that you can hit the floor running.

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines from scratch
• Working with Fanuc, Heidenhain, and/or Siemens control systems
• Selecting tooling, setting offsets, and proving out new programs
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to produce components to tight tolerances
• Carrying out inspection and applying quality standards throughout the process
• Contributing to continuous improvement on the shop floor

Essential:

• Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
• Competent with at least one of:
  Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens controls
• Ability to read engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances
• Solid understanding of tooling selection, offsets, and program prove‑out
• Strong grasp of quality standards and inspection techniques

Desirable:

• Hands‑on experience with XYZ CNC milling machines
• Background producing components across varied industry sectors

• Salary of £34,000 – £36,000 depending on experience
