Manufacturing Team Leader

Manufacturing Team Leader Derby Monday  – Friday days £40,000 Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer looking for an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join their operations team, based in Derby. Reporting into the operations Manager, you'll play a key role in motivating your team, maintaining operational discipline and ensuring products meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Team Leader include:
Lead, coach and develop a team of manufacturing operatives Monitor production schedules and implement recovery plans where required Complete production audits, ensuring all production areas are fully equipped with materials Deliver on-the-job training and support operator development Drive high standards of Health & Safety and promote a positive safety first culture Complete daily process compliance checks and maintain production documentation Manage attendance, performance reviews and employee development Support continuous improvement initiatives and process updates Work collaboratively with production planning and other departments to achieve business objectives We’re keen to speak with experienced Manufacturing Leaders with the below skills & experience:
Previous leadership experience within medium to high-volume manufacturing Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate others Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using ERP/MRP systems Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities A proactive, organised and hands-on approach

Experience with in regulated manufacturing such as engineering, chemical processing, defence, automotive or similar would be advantageous Lean Manufacturing and/or IOSH qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential Please be aware this role is physically demanding covering a large site, and working outdoors.
