Fabricator​/Welder MIG

We are looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join great team in an established family-owned business in Leeds. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.

The Role:

• You will operate welding machines to fuse metal segments together using MIG or other processes
• Measuring, cutting, clamping, grinding, drilling, or tacking metal pieces before welding
• You will be required to fabricate parts following mechanical drawings.
• You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
• You will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers requirements.
• You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works order.
• Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems shortages or equipment breakdowns.
• You may be required to visit customer sites throughout the UK.
• Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related the role.
