We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bench Joiner to join our workshop team in Halifax. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality bespoke joinery products ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture bespoke joinery items including cabinetry, furniture, doors, counters, wall panelling, and specialist timber products.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, cutting lists, and specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assemble, fit, and finish joinery products within the workshop.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Adhere to company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with workshop improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Bench Joiner, Cabinet Maker, or similar woodworking role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of timber materials, fittings, and construction methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Experience in bespoke or commercial joinery manufacturing.
- Relevant Joinery or Carpentry qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
- Experience working within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
