Job PurposeWe are looking for a skilled and experienced Upholsterer to join our growing team. Your primary responsibility will be to build, upholster and prepare high-quality furniture components, including chairs, stools, headboards, seats and pads, using a variety of fabrics, leather and vinyl. You will take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship while working efficiently to meet customer expectations and production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Foaming chairs, headboards, stools, seats and pads.
- Upholstering and tacking a range of materials including leather, vinyl and fabric.
- Measuring, cutting and preparing upholstery materials.
- Building and preparing upholstered furniture components to a high standard.
- Carrying out furniture repairs and re-upholstery where required.
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Producing accurate, high-quality work within agreed timescales.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.
- Adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in contract furniture upholstery.
- Proven experience upholstering chairs, stools, headboards and other furniture components using a variety of fabrics, leather and vinyl.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
- Flexible, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
