Temporary to Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Hand Joiner / Furniture Assembler to join a well-established manufacturing business on the outskirts of Leeds. Our client has been established for over 25 years and is a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke furniture and joinery for the hospitality industry . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous assembly or joinery experience who is confident using hand tools and has some experience with woodworking machinery.

Candidates with a strong interest in developing their woodworking skills will also be considered, with full training provided for the right person .

Key Responsibilities Carry out high-quality bench joinery and woodworking. Manufacture bespoke furniture and joinery components. Read and work accurately from technical drawings and specifications. Use a range of hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently. Measure, cut, assemble and finish components accurately. Ensure all work meets the required quality and finish standards. Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

Work independently and as part of a team. Complete work within agreed deadlines while maintaining quality. Follow all company health and safety procedures. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in bench joinery, furniture assembly or a similar woodworking environment . Good knowledge of joinery and woodworking techniques. Confident using hand tools. Experience operating woodworking machinery would be an advantage. Ability to read technical drawings and work accurately to measurements.

Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship. Reliable, hardworking and punctual. Good practical and problem-solving skills. NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Joinery would be advantageous but is not essential.
