About the RoleWe're recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds. This is a great opportunity for someone with machine operating or general manufacturing experience who wants to develop their skills and build a long-term career.
You don't need to be an experienced Plastic Fabricator. We're looking for a practical, reliable Machine Operative who is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, has a good eye for quality and is keen to learn.
As a Machine Operative, you'll support the production of bespoke display units and shop fixtures, working with machinery, materials and components to ensure products are manufactured accurately and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Setting up and operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Loading materials and components ready for production
- Following job sheets, specifications and production instructions
- Monitoring machine performance and making permitted adjustments
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process
- Identifying and reporting faults or production issues
- Assembling components accurately to specification
- Packing, picking and preparing finished products for dispatch
- Supporting other production departments when required
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
- Previous machine operating, manufacturing or production experience
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment
- Able to follow job sheets and production instructions
- Reliable, hardworking and keen to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of production
