Upholsterer

Career Makers Recruitment is currently looking for an Uphalster on behalf of our ever-growing client based in Morley

Duties Include:

Build and assemble wooden manufactured seat frames using drawings Measure, cut and install foam Measure, cut, sew, stretch, and attach upholstery fabric. Create smooth, properly aligned finishes with consistent seams, patterns, corners, and edges. Operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, staplers, foam cutters, and sewing machines. Inspect frames, cushioning, and finished upholstery for quality and correct defects when needed.

Follow production schedules while maintaining workmanship and efficiency. Keep tools, materials, and the work area clean and organized. Follow all workplace safety procedures. Qualifications Previous upholstery, furniture manufacturing or related experience preferred. Ability to build and upholster cushioned seating from start to finish. Experience working with wood, foam, webbing, and upholstery fabrics. Ability to read measurements, templates, drawings, and basic production specifications.

Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Reliable attendance and ability to meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, and pull while completing upholstery work. Ability to safely lift and move frames, materials, and finished products weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 4.30pm Pay: £15.50 - £16.50
