Communications Officer

The organisation works on behalf of the UK’s 15 national parks. A small but entrepreneurial team, the organisation exists to grow the impact, influence and resources of the national parks family.

As Communications Officer, you’ll help tell the stories of the UK’s national parks in engaging, creative and accessible ways. This varied role combines digital content creation with the smooth running of NPUK’s digital platforms. You’ll work closely with the Director of Communications & Brand to bring a new national brand to life, shifting perceptions of national parks from “beautiful and passive” to “dynamic, active and people-powered”.

You’ll create content for social media, websites and newsletters, support national campaigns, and work closely with communications teams across the Parks to ensure consistent, high‑quality storytelling.

• Create engaging digital content, including written, visual and video content to build and nurture online communities.
• Support national campaigns and shared communications activities.
• Communicate effectively in a matrix style environment.
• Keep brand resources, templates and guidance up to date.

• Experienced in creating engaging digital content.
• Previous experience supporting brand initiatives.
• Full UK driving licence, as some travel to national park sites will be required.
