Work Hours & ContractThe hours of work are 17:00pm-22:00pm over 7 days a week (including bank holidays). The role is based from Hunslet Health Centre, though it is expected that you could travel across the city of Leeds during your shift to deliver patient care.
The contract is a minimum of 10 hpw (2 evenings) up to a maximum of 27.5 hpw (6.5 evenings a fortnight).
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership, including line management of Band 5 Staff Nurses and oversight of Band 3 Nursing Assistants.
- Coordinate and manage care ensuring that all calls are effectively assessed, triaged, allocated and recorded.
- Maintain an overview of the service as a whole to ensure that patients and staff remain safe and care is appropriate and effective overnight.
- Re‑allocate work to cover unexpected staff absence.
- Deliver direct patient care when required, while primarily performing clinical triage via telephone.
- Think on your feet, problem‑solve, juggle conflicting priorities and motivate others in challenging times.
- Use resources effectively to support complex patients.
- Registered staff nurse.
- Excellent assessment, planning and evaluation skills to deliver clinical care to patients and support our Nursing Assistants.
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
- Proven ability to manage and lead in a fast‑paced environment.
