Junior Sister

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced registered nurse to join our well-established team on J98 for a 12-month Band 6 junior sister/charge nurse secondment to cover maternity leave.

Ward J98 is a 25‑bed gynaecology oncology surgical ward caring for women undergoing elective and acute gynae‑oncology surgery, as well as non‑surgical oncology and medical outliers. As a junior sister/charge nurse, you will provide visible clinical leadership, coordinate the day‑to‑day running of the ward, and ensure the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care. You will work closely with the senior sister and the wider multidisciplinary teams to support patients throughout their admission whilst promoting and delivering excellence in clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 3+ years of experience in a similar setting.
• Experience in gynaecology oncology or related surgical specialties preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience or capability.

Experience

• Practical experience in managing a busy ward with multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in case management and patient safety audits.
