We are now looking for a friendly and enthusiastic RVN to join our close-knit team and become part of a practice where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. About the role This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN looking for a varied first opinion nursing role within a supportive and experienced team. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced nurse, we are more interested in your passion for patient care, your approach to teamwork and finding the right cultural fit.
Working alongside our experienced veterinary surgeons and nursing team, you will be involved in all aspects of general practice nursing, including:
Theatre nursing, surgical preparation and recovery Inpatient care and patient monitoring Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare Client education and supporting owners with their pets' ongoing care General patient care and supporting the wider veterinary team Maintaining high standards across all areas of practice life At Swayne & Partners, we believe everyone contributes to the team - no one is too senior to get involved in the day-to-day running of the practice.
About you We are looking for an RVN who is:
Friendly, approachable and enjoys building relationships A strong team player who is happy to support colleagues Passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care Comfortable working in a true general practice environment Interested in nurse consultations and preventative healthcare Looking for a long-term role within a supportive team You may be a newly qualified RVN looking for a supportive environment to develop your skills, or an experienced nurse looking for a practice where culture, teamwork and work-life balance are prioritised.
About the practice Our Long Melford practice is a well-established first opinion clinic with a loyal client base and a fantastic reputation within the local community. The team is made up of experienced veterinary surgeons, RVNs and support staff who have worked together for many years, creating a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. The practice offers: A friendly and supportive team environment Excellent staff retention Flexible working patterns Strong opportunities for mentoring and development A genuine community feel where clients and patients are known personally Our facilities include:
Digital X-ray Dental X-ray Ultrasound Multi-parameter monitoring Well-equipped surgical facilities Access to additional referral-level equipment at our Bury St Edmunds site Hours & salary Salary: £30,000 - £31,000 depending on experience Full-time position - 40 hours per week Flexible working pattern across 4 or 5 days Practice opening hours: 8:00am - 7:00pm Potential requirement to join a 1 in 6 Saturday rota at our Bury practice (to be confirmed) Why join Swayne & Partners?
