Wharfedale Theatres provide day surgery to a wide variety of specialities within 4 theatres which include ophthalmics, colorectal, urology, plastics/maxillofacial, gynaecology, breast and ENT.As a team leader you will continue to maintain clinical practice and there may be a requirement for weekend working and night duty if needed. The successful applicant will have line managerial responsibilities for the multidisciplinary staff within the Perioperative team.

We require a dynamic and motivated Senior Practitioner with outstanding knowledge, skills and experience in the relevant Surgical Specialties to provide excellent patient care. The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with other theatre suites and the trust to provide patient centred care. You will be supported & facilitated by Matron, Senior Management, Education and Business Team to lead and contribute to the quality, performance, governance and financial aspects of the role.

A certification in leadership is desirable.

They should also have insight into working on a peripheral site and managing the challenges that presents.

You will work closely with the Matron to manage staffing, capacity and resources, ensuring the safe and efficient running of the department. Using your leadership, communication and organisational skills, you will support staff development, drive service improvement and contribute to outstanding patient outcomes within a busy and dynamic theatre environment.
