Mainduties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse or Midwife to join the Medicines Management and Pharmacy Services (MMPS) Nursing Team on a 12-month fixed-term/secondment basis. Working within a well-established Trust-wide team, you will support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of medicines management, patient safety, quality improvement and education initiatives that have a direct impact on patient care across Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The role is Trust-wide and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with ward teams, matrons, senior nurses, pharmacists and other multidisciplinary colleagues to implement and embed improvements in clinical practice.
This is an excellent development opportunity for an individual who is passionate about patient safety, service improvement and staff development. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and able to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have strong communication and presentation skills, an interest in education and training, and the ability to support change and improvement in busy clinical environments.

The Medicines Management and Pharmacy Services (MMPS) Nursing Team is a dynamic, supportive and forward-thinking team that works across Leeds Teaching Hospitals to improve patient safety, medicines management practice and the quality of care delivered to patients. Our team leads and supports a wide range of Trust-wide initiatives, including medicines safety projects, quality improvement programmes, education and training, clinical audits, policy development and the implementation of new ways of working.
