Are you looking to make a real impact as an Auditor by upholding quality and information security at a national level? In this role you will be part of the NHS SBS Risk, Assurance and Quality Team, working across the organisation to ensure the right levels of assurance are in place. The work is varied, detail‑focused and genuinely valuable, helping NHS SBS meet international standards and deliver trusted, high‑quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain internal audit programmes for ISO
9001 Quality Management System and ISO
27001 Information Security Management System, in line with international requirements. - Plan audits to achieve full coverage of clauses and scope areas within each three‑year certification cycle.
- Conduct internal audits at scheduled intervals to assess conformance and effective implementation of management systems.
- Track audit actions to completion and adjust the programme to reflect emerging risks.
- Communicate the three‑year audit programme and keep stakeholders informed throughout the audit process.
- Provide support and resolve queries arising from internal and external audits or surveillance activities.
- ISO auditor training in ISO
9001 or ISO
27001 (training can be provided if you hold one qualification). - Familiarity with ISO
19011 auditing guidelines. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Confidence to use initiative and apply sound judgement.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience or qualification in enterprise risk management.
- Knowledge of wider assurance frameworks, including ISAE
3402 and internal audit programmes.
Full‑time, Permanent – Leeds or Southampton (once per week onsite; hybrid working model). Security Clearance: DBS.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
