Location:
Essex Job Type: Full-time Join as a Technical Manager, where you will ensure food safety, legality, quality, and integrity for all customers. This role requires a proactive mindset and a strong work ethic, with a focus on collaborative problem-solving and delivering practical solutions. Day-to-day of the role:
Develop, implement, and adhere to technical policies and procedures to ensure food safety and quality. Achieve site accreditations by ensuring compliance and audit readiness for BRCGS and customer audits. Develop and implement robust traceability systems for regulatory compliance and full product traceability. Lead pest control strategies, protecting product integrity and maintaining a hygienic production environment. Oversee product testing and environmental monitoring to prevent contamination.
Investigate customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions to enhance customer satisfaction. Deliver training on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Monitor and manage site trends and risks proactively. Manage the site QA and Hygiene teams to ensure daily standards and monitoring are completed correctly. Oversee the site non-conformance system, ensuring issues are effectively resolved.
Coordinate and maintain the internal auditing process to meet BRCGS and customer requirements. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of food safety, legality, compliance, and quality standards within the food manufacturing industry. Proven experience in a technical or quality role within a food manufacturing environment. HACCP Level 3 or higher. Food Safety and Hygiene certifications level 3 or higher. Excellent communication skills and leadership capabilities. Working knowledge of SAP system is advantageous. Benefits:
