R&D Chemist

Halecroft Recruitment is delighted to support our client, a well-established business based in Trafford Park, in recruiting an R&D Chemist to join their specialist technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced laboratory-based Chemist to work across product development, innovation, performance testing, and technical support within a Lubricant Performance Additives environment.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and test development samples. Conduct product performance evaluations and testing. Support R&D and innovation projects. Respond to technical service requests and customer queries. Prepare and dispatch samples to customers and other facilities. Support the day-to-day running of the laboratory. Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, and safety equipment. Maintain accurate records and test data. About You Degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific discipline preferred.

A Levels in Chemistry and Maths as a minimum. Substantial laboratory experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team. Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Knowledge of the lubricants industry would be advantageous.
