Our brilliant Leeds North store is looking to expand its team.

What are the working hours/days?

This is a part-time position requiring three working days per week, comprising two weekdays and every Sunday. Working hours are 8:45am to 5:00pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and 10:15am to 4:30pm on Sundays.

Who are we looking for?

• The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in all areas of fish keeping, with some previous experience in aquatics and fish keeping an enthusiasm for the hobby, and a strong commitment to customer service.
• They should be self-motivated, positive, and organized, as well as hardworking, and enthusiastic to learn.
• The person we are looking for should be a positive practical individual who is keen to be part of a strong happy team of staff who enjoy working in their vocational career.
• Previous experience would be advantageous.

What does the role involve?

• Aiding in the day-to-day maintenance of the store including caring for the wide variety of livestock that we carry and serving customers.
• Delivery of excellent standards of livestock care and store presentation.
• Greeting and welcoming all our customers in an articulate, approachable, and friendly manner to maintain our high standards of customer care
• Communicate your fish keeping knowledge clearly to customers with varying levels of experience and maintain our policy of responsible fish keeping.
• Working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Completing sales correctly and efficiently ensuring customers leave the store fully satisfied.
• Getting merchandise out onto the shop floor, organizing stock neatly on the shelves and making sure it's correctly priced and available.

Where will you be working?

We specialise in tropical, coldwater, pond and koi. We are always looking for new ways of developing the fish keeping hobby and how we optimise our shop floor experience. We are a friendly team of fishkeepers who work hard, have fun and aim to connect to our customers ensuring they have a positive fish keeping journey.
