Purposeof the role:
The Assistant Merchandiser will play a key role in supporting the Off-Price Wholesale Merchandising team to ensure the smooth administration and execution of factory and customer orders. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate product and order data, managing stock reports & availability, coordinating with internal departments and external customers, and supporting the merchandising team to deliver products on time, in full, and to the required standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in merchandising and wholesale fashion.
Key responsibilities:- Support the merchandising team with the day-to-day administration of customer accounts.
- Update and maintain order trackers, delivery schedules and critical path documents.
- Support on pulling trade packs.
- Update and maintain weekly stock (free-to-sell) reports.
- Reviewing stock to ship and sign off with team.
- Raise and maintain purchase orders, sales orders and product information accurately within company systems.
- Ensure all product data, pricing and order information is accurate and up to date.
- Prepare customer order confirmations and amendments.
- Prepare customer invoices & paperwork.
- Roll up & sign off factory payments with Merch & Director.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics, customer service and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Resolve order queries and communicate any delays or issues to the merchandising team.
- Track shipment schedules and update customers where required.
- Previous merch admin / assistant level experience, ideally within fashion, retail or wholesale.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Strong numerical ability and confidence working with data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
