The Opportunity

This is a consultative capital equipment sales role focused on developing long‑term customer partnerships rather than transactional selling.

You’ll work with manufacturers to understand their quality and production challenges before recommending advanced metrology solutions, managing projects that typically range from £60,000 to £1 million with sales cycles spanning six months to two years.

With full ownership of your territory, you’ll balance new business development with strategic account management, supported by experienced applications engineers, technical specialists and an established wider commercial team.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Growing an established territory through both new business and existing accounts
  • Managing the complete consultative sales process from initial enquiry through to order
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders across manufacturing businesses
  • Identifying opportunities for high‑value capital equipment solutions
  • Working closely with technical specialists to develop customer proposals
  • Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and delivering against ambitious growth targets
  • Representing the business at demonstrations, exhibitions and customer events
About You

You’ll already have experience selling capital equipment or complex engineering solutions into manufacturing environments.

You’ll understand how to manage long sales cycles, influence multiple decision makers and develop lasting customer relationships.

You’ll ideally bring experience in one or more of the following:

  • Industrial metrology
  • Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
  • Manufacturing technology
  • Precision engineering
  • Quality inspection
  • Capital equipment (CAPEX) sales
  • Technical engineering solutions

Successful candidates are likely to have worked for manufacturers or suppliers serving sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical devices or advanced manufacturing.
