Key Account Manager – Anti-Infectives | Secondary Care | North West, Yorkshire & (Half) of East Midlands
I’m currently supporting a growing specialty pharmaceutical company that is looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to join their UK team and take ownership of a defined hospital territory.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a smaller, agile pharmaceutical business where you’ll have genuine ownership of your region, work closely with senior stakeholders, and play a key role in driving the success of established and upcoming products.
Working model: Field-based (hospital-focused)
The Opportunity:You will be responsible for developing relationships across secondary care, working with specialist healthcare professionals, and supporting the growth of products within anti-infectives and pain management
.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with hospital stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders
- Driving product adoption across NHS secondary care accounts
- Supporting new product launches and identifying growth opportunities
- Engaging with specialist physicians, microbiology teams, and relevant clinical stakeholders
- Developing and executing territory business plans
- Attending national/international conferences and maintaining strong market knowledge
We are looking for someone who can combine scientific credibility with strong commercial capability.
Ideal backgrounds include:- Key Account Management experience within secondary care
- Hospital sales experience within complex pharmaceutical products
- Experience in anti-infectives, infectious diseases, microbiology, pain management, renal, neurology, or acute medicine (desirable)
- Strong understanding of NHS hospital environments and formulary processes
- Ability to manage a large territory and build long-term stakeholder relationships
You may come from a KAM, Hospital Specialist Representative, or Clinical Sales background - the key is having experience operating in a complex hospital environment and the ability to work autonomously.

- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Ideal locations include Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, or anywhere within the territory (excluding the South Midlands region).
