All Vigilant Bed Watch Security Officers play a vital role in ensuring that the hospital is welcoming, accessible and, most importantly, a safe environment for patients on a one-to-one basis.

You must be able to provide a professional, responsive and observant security presence to ensure full protection of the staff, patients, premises and equipment at all times.

The hours available are varied and can be adapted for the correct candidate. Shift pattern will consist of days and nights, ideally 4 on 4 off (there is flexibility to offer part-time working and hours to suit around your personal commitments).

• Frontline Door Supervision SIA licence is essential.
• Fully comprehensive 5 year work/education history; including full company names, addresses and landline contact numbers required.
• Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
• Care related experience or qualification would be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with patients and show empathy and compassion during bed watching duties.
• Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours in length.
• Professional manner to deal with difficult, sometimes stressful and physically challenging situations.
• Smart, well-groomed and confident.
• A commitment to providing first‑class customer service is essential.
• Good report writing skills.

• Pay rate of £12.44 per hour.
