Trainee Maintenance Operative – Kitchen Extraction / Ventilation Hygiene

£24000-£26000) + Full Training + Benefits

* Leading Facility Management Consultancy who specialises in kitchen extraction and ventilation hygiene of commercial buildings including offices, hospitality, retail and local/central governments are expanding their maintenance team and currently require a Trainee Maintenance Operative to join an existing team reporting into the site supervisor.

The key element for this position is the successful applicant doesn’t need any experience in this field but will ideally have some knowledge in a maintenance or manual led role. What the Trainee Maintenance Operative person will need is an eagerness to learn a new trade, have bundles of enthusiasm and want to gain industry recognised qualifications.

Key duties for the Trainee Maintenance Operative will include

* The inspection of kitchen extraction systems

* The removing, cleaning and refitting of canopy filters

* Assisting in the installation of new access panel including fire dampener testing

* Maintain site paperwork in line with industry guidelines and fire safety standard

The successful Trainee Maintenance Operative will have the following

* Strong communication skills and be comfortable in a client facing role

* Be happy working in confined spaces

* Have a good level of fitness

* Full driving license (the role will work as a pair and cover multiple sites in your region)
