Mobile Plant & Vehicle Mechanic

As a Mobile Plant Mechanic you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining mobile plant equipment across various sites. You’ll enjoy the independence of working in the field supported by a strong office and workshop team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on a range of plant equipment (excavators, plant trailers, telehandlers, etc.).
  • Fault diagnosis using diagnostic tools and manuals.
  • Conduct safety inspections and complete service reports.
  • Liaise with clients and site supervisors to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and a clean work vehicle.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification:
    Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working with mobile plant equipment.
  • Current driver’s licence (HR / MR licence desirable).
  • High attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
