If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and supporting people through challenging times, this could be the role for you. As a Housing Support Worker, within our Beacon / Somewhere Safe to Live Team, you’ll play a vital part in helping people maintain their homes, overcome barriers and build brighter futures. From helping someone settle into a new tenancy to connecting them with specialist support, your work will have a real and lasting impact.
No two days are ever the same. One day you might be supporting someone to move into their new home, while the next, you’re helping them manage their finances, attend appointments or develop the confidence to live independently. You’ll work alongside colleagues, landlords and partner agencies to ensure people receive the support they need to thrive.
Who we’re looking for:- Experience supporting individuals through challenging situations, encouraging positive engagement and providing effective support during difficult times.
- Ability to apply and promote risk management practices in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners.
- A valid UK driving licence (or one permitting driving in the UK) and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
