  • FTC – Maternity Cover 12 Months, Leeds, Part-time (Monday to Wednesday, 30 hours Per Week)
  • Salary £21,840 per annum, plus 50p per hour night premium.

Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) is the largest women’s charitable organisation in Leeds and provides services for victims of domestic violence and abuse, honour‑based violence, forced marriage, trafficking, stalking and harassment and is the lead agency for two consortia, Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women’s and Girls Alliance.

We are looking for a compassionate and supportive Refuge Night worker to join our team. The Out-of-hours Team are the first point of contact for, and access to LDVS for any person experiencing domestic violence and abuse. We work with victim-survivors providing a 24-hour helpline service and specialist guidance to our residents residing at our refuge accommodation.

You will need:

  • A good understanding of the impact of domestic violence and abuse on victim survivors, children and their families.
  • Experience of telephone based and/or customer service advice or support work.
  • The ability to work under pressure in stressful or difficult situations.
  • Great listening skills
  • Able to work within an operational multi agency environment
  • Able to lone work
