Senior Contract Software Engineer - GenAI 3-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Leeds - 1 day a week

WRK digital are delighted to shortlisting for 2 Contract Software Engineers to join a cutting‑edge GenAI project team who are building an intelligent knowledge platform for a leading digital consultancy. This is a hands‑on development role focused on delivering production‑ready AI features using modern web technologies.

Full Stack: Next.js, React, Type Script

Front End: Tailwind CSS, ShadCN

Infrastructure: AWS

• Build AI-powered features and user interfaces with Next.js and React
• Integrate Anthropic Claude API into application workflows
• Develop scalable, performant Type Script applications
• Work with AWS services and Click House time series database
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver quality solutions

• Strong commercial experience with Next.js, React and Type Script
• Proven track record building AI‑enabled features (Claude, OpenAI, or similar LLM APIs)
• Understanding of AI integration patterns and prompt engineering
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver to deadlines

• Experience with Click House or time series databases
• Knowledge of RAG architectures and vector search
• ShadCN component library experience
• Consultancy or client‑facing project experience

Duration: 3 months (potential extension)

Location:

Leeds city centre (hybrid 1-2 days week)
