We're currently working with a leading global technology consultancy that is expanding its Software Engineering practice in Manchester. Due to continued project growth, they're looking to hire four Software Engineers to join a high-performing engineering team delivering modern, cloud-native solutions for a range of enterprise and public sector clients.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation programmes using modern technologies, agile delivery methods, and cloud platforms.
The RoleAs a Software Engineer, you'll be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, helping to design, build and deploy scalable applications while working alongside experienced engineers, architects and product teams.
Key responsibilities include:- Developing modern applications and services using cloud-native technologies
- Building scalable backend services and APIs
- Working with containers, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
- Writing clean, secure and well-tested code
- Collaborating within agile delivery teams
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Contributing to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives
We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in some of the following:
- Commercial software development experience using Java, Python, C#, Go or Type Script
- Front-end development experience with React, Angular, Vue or Svelte
- Experience working with cloud platforms (
AWS preferred
, Azure or GCP also considered) - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK or Pulumi)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Git Lab CI or similar
- Understanding of secure coding, performance optimisation and testing best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within agile teams
- Salary between £50,000 - £66,000
