Full-time - 35 hours per week

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Assured Build team, engineering and scaling secure, automated solutions across LBG. This role focuses on building the engineering capability underpinning Assured Build – automation of security baselines, integration of Security-Related Configuration (SRC) controls into code, pipelines and platform tooling, and enabling secure-by-design delivery.

• Assure security configurations in static build artefacts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive greater automation, consistency, and reuse of security artefacts.
• Embed security earlier into the engineering lifecycle.
• Develop and enhance services to reduce manual effort and improve security coverage across infrastructure and software.
• Contribute to enterprise-scale automation, including CI/CD integration, tooling and data-driven reporting.

• Experience in software engineering and Dev Ops practices in a large-scale or enterprise environment.
• Programming and scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, Power Shell or similar.
• Hands-on technical experience writing and improving code.
• Broad understanding of cyber security domains, including cloud security (Azure and/or GCP).
• Outcome-focused approach with attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles across the development lifecycle.
• Passion for automating repetitive tasks and improving engineering efficiency.
• Clear understanding of containerisation technologies and associated tooling (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and repository-based workflows (Git Hub or similar).
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, configuration assurance or security tooling is desirable.
• Experience with data-driven solutions, databases and building automation or workflow solutions.
