Worldwide prestigious specialist transportation company with over three decades in the industry looking after some of the world’s most luxurious and rare vehicles are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate experienced Freight Forwarder to join their team in rural Suffolk, near Bury St Edmunds.

The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced and highly organised International Special Projects Forwarder to join our specialist International Projects team. This is a varied, fast‑paced role for someone who enjoys managing complex international movements, building strong relationships, and taking real ownership of their work.
If you have a background in international logistics or freight forwarding and enjoy seeing projects through from start to finish — particularly involving high‑value or specialist cargo — this could be a great next step in your career.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating the global movement of vehicles by air, sea, and road, ensuring every shipment is handled efficiently, compliantly, and to the highest standard of service.
What You’ll Be Doing Client & Stakeholder Relationships- Acting as a key point of contact between clients, internal teams, and overseas agents.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to fully understand requirements, timelines, and priorities.
- Taking ownership of client queries and challenges, providing clear communication and timely solutions.
- Maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality — particularly when working with high‑net‑worth clients.
- Coordinating international air and sea freight shipments from booking through to delivery.
- Tracking shipments mid‑mile and providing updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Preparing and issuing freight documentation to support smooth customs clearance.
- Collecting, checking, and managing customs paperwork in line with UK, European, and international regulations.
- Liaising with overseas agents and customs partners to ensure correct import and export procedures.
- Managing temporary import/export documentation, including Carnet de Passage and ATA Carnets where required.
- Preparing accurate client quotations and supporting clients throughout the booking process.
- Handling invoicing, data entry, spreadsheets, and document management.
- Ensuring records are maintained accurately and in line with company processes.
You’ll be an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys working on specialist or non‑routine shipments.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- At least three years’ experience in international logistics or freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of air, sea, and road freight
, including associated documentation. - A good understanding of UK, European, and international shipping paperwork.
- Experience with temporary import/export procedures
, including Carnet de Passage and ATA Carnets (or a willingness to learn). - A second language (desirable but not essential).
- An interest in classic cars, supercars, or specialist vehicle logistics would be a real advantage.
