We are recruiting for an experienced Road Freight Operations Manager to join a successful global company with sites across the world.

As Road Freight Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the road freight operation, ensuring high levels of service, efficiency, compliance, and profitability.

• Managing the daily road freight operation
• Leading, supporting, and developing the operations team
• Ensuring shipments are planned and delivered efficiently
• Monitoring service levels, costs, and operational performance
• Working closely with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
• Handling escalations and resolving operational issues
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
• Driving process improvements across the department
• Supporting senior management with reporting and operational strategy

• Previous experience in road freight operations
• Experience managing or supervising a freight operations team
• Strong knowledge of UK and European road freight
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Commercially aware with strong problem‑solving ability
• Confident working in a fast‑paced logistics environment
• Strong customer service and supplier management skills
