Volunteer Drivers play a vital role in helping members of our community stay connected and independent. Whether using your own vehicle on an “on-call” basis or driving one of our mobility vehicles on a regular route, you will help transport community members safely to the MAZCC, appointments or activities, as well as supporting our hot meal delivery service. Regular and bank volunteers are both welcome.
Whatadditional skills or experience you should have
Volunteers must hold a full, valid driving licence and be confident driving safely and responsibly. Good communication skills, reliability and a friendly approach are also important. No previous volunteer driving experience is required.
What training we will provide for youAll Volunteer Drivers will receive an induction, wheelchair handling training and a test drive before starting the role. Ongoing support and guidance will also be provided.
