Purpose of the Role:

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate the efficient movement of containerised freight working closely with internal departments and external partners to maintain smooth operational performance.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customer enquiries relating to deliveries, collections and service updates.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational performance, resolving challenges and delays while ensuring compliance with all relevant transport legislation and company procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate the efficient movement of containerised freight.
  • Oversee the delivery and execution of daily transport plans, collaborating with a wider depot team to ensure smooth handovers and operational continuity.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, safety and overall performance.
What we are looking for:
  • Knowledge and experience of transport planning operations within the container sector would be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook, within a professional environment.
  • Excellent IT proficiency and a proven ability to quickly embrace new technologies.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • In depth knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve operational challenges quickly.
  • Daily releases / EXEC / pin numbers understanding.
